I am a mom, wife and artist, but I am also a two time cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with my first cancer, breast, in 2004. I endured a mastectomy to my left breast and went through chemotherapy and radiation. My second was diagnosed in 2006 and it was endometrial cancer. This cancer was caused by my taking Tamoxifen to deal with my original breast cancer. (There is a very small chance of this happening). I found out in late 2006 that I have the breast cancer gene, so at that time I had a mastectomy on my right breast. After I was released from the cancer hospital in our city, I pretty much figured I was in the clear. Well, in this past two weeks I have been told that I have a mass on my left anterior 6th rib and a spot on the left side of my skull. Nothing can prepare you for the dread and on-going nightmarish reality that comes with such news. However, I have always been pretty optimistic and I am striving to be so now. Changes in my diet, meditation and doing more exercise are all part of my plan to get healthy.

"Peace, Man" has a medieval quality to it, almost like royalty.
